St Andrew's Church
A place of Christian worship for over a thousand years

Our beautiful church is rich in history. The origins of St Andrew’s Church date from the 11th Century. Its Anglo-Saxon footprint is discernible today and it has many features of unique architectural interest. Most significantly the walls of St Andrew’s are adorned with some of the country’s most important medieval wall murals.
St Andrew’s is open every day of the year for visitors and those who wish to find peace and prayer in our tranquil church.

We have regular Sunday services:
Family Communion takes place at 9.30 am on the second Sunday of the month. Coffee and home made refreshments are offered after the service.
Family service takes place at 9.30 on the fourth Sunday of each month and coffee and home made refreshments are offered after the service
We have an annual Evensong on St Andrew’s, day in late November. This is a candlelit service, with organ music led by a choir, and warm, spiced wine, mince pies and smoked salmon after the service.
